Gift Room
During the Christmas Season, Trinity United Methodist Church sponsors a Gift Room that offers an opportunity
for parents to select gifts for their children. Names of those
in need are obtained from local agencies.
West Ohio Health Ministries Coordinator
Lima Memorial Hospital and St. Rita’s Medical Center,
in cooperation with the Allen County Health Department, have initiated
a joint effort to offer a resource to congregations interested
in establishing or enhancing a Health Ministry Program in their
faith community. The Health Ministry Program seeks to strengthen
the existing role of ministry by offering resources to enhance
the whole person - body, mind and spirit. Beverly John-Driver is

Churches United Pantry (CUP)
A food pantry collaboration by downtown and area churches:
Central Christian, Christ Episcopal, Family of Faith UMC, First
Evangelical and Reformed, St. Lukes Lutheran, Zion Lutheran and
Second Baptist. Clients may visit every 60 days. CUP is an emergency
food pantry for those who need to supplement their other food
resources. Presently serving between 400-450 persons, or an average
of 175 households per month.
GED classes
Classes coordinated through the Lima City Schools meet at
Grace House on Wednesday and Thursday mornings between 10:00
am and 12 noon. Teacher, Jane Urish. For more information contact

Family Promise
Family Promise is a program designed to provide shelter for homeless families. Families are housed by area churches overnight while Grace House serves as a day center.
